Sustainable Funding for Nonprofits

Social Prosperity Wood Buffalo is a community-driven partnership to improve the quality of life and lead Canada in building prosperous communities.  The Social Prosperity Summit addresses global issues that impact the nonprofit sector as a whole.  Join community leaders and guest speakers in a facilitated discussion to address one of the biggest challenges facing nonprofits today.

The inaugural summit will explore sustainable funding models for nonprofit organizations.  Participants will hear some of Canada’s leading funders and thought leaders share innovative and ground-breaking ideas.  In addition, Ken Chapman, Oilsands Developers Group, will present a recent report on Sustainable Indicators as they relate to the nonprofit sector.

The day will include panel presentations focussing on the importance of investing in nonprofit capacity to increase social impact, effective corporate social responsibility models, and the role of small business in supporting nonprofits.  In the afternoon, Brock Hart and Lisa Grogan of Overlapp Associates, Inc. will lead the group in a design-thinking process to develop a sustainable funding model for nonprofits in Wood Buffalo.

Who Should Attend?  Small and private business leaders, community investment officers, nonprofit leaders, government officials, nonprofit clients, students and all other interested parties.  A broad multi-sectoral discussion will generate innovative solutions.
